Georgia is the best country for Digital Nomads
I can describe my experience in Georgia in one sentence.
Tbilisi (the capital city of Georgia) is absolutely the best city for digital nomads!
- US, Japan, and EU citizen can stay there for 360 days with no questions asked!
- Very good Wi-fi. Tbilisi has free wi-fi in the city and its network name is “Tbilisi Loves you”. Kinda cute, isn’t it?
- It’s easy to find cafes with good wi-fi and charger.
- Good food for reasonable price.
- Wide choice of veggies and fruits for good price so you can stay fit.
- Beautiful 🙂
Cafe for digital nomad in Tbilisi
Local Starbucks-like coffee chain, Coffeesta is one of the best places to work. They have everything you need to work including free wifi, clean toilet, credit card payment option, comfy chair and stable table, and socket. Price is not
If you don’t like franchise cafes, I recommend Prospero’s Books. The place is dream office for nature and book lovers 🙂
There are so many other places you can visit. I was pretty happy with CoffeeSta at Rustaveli so I haven’t explored much, but Tbilisi has a lot of cute cafes and I’m sure you would enjoy exploring them 🙂
Places to visit in Tbilisi
Tbilisi isn’t so big city. It would take only a couple of days to see the most touristy places. Visit the National Botanical Garden, Narikala Fortress, old town, the dry bridge and enjoy delicious Georgian food and wine.
Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)
Kazbegi is a 5000-meter mountain up in the north end of Georgia. I am sure everybody recommends you to visit the place because it’s magnificent!!!!
To visit Kazgbegi, you either take a tour, Marshrutkas (bus) or taxi. I recommend sharing a taxi with other tourists. It’s very easy, taxi drivers find other tourists for you so that you pay only 6-10 USD, depending on the number of passengers. Bus terminal is at Didube metro stop.
